Dr. Olu Brown
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Brown to Rockingham Ridge Dental Centre.
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Halifax where she graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie in 2011. She worked in the Halifax area for 10 years in private practice and provided mobile services in youth and senior facilities. She worked as an instructor in dental hygiene at Dalhousie before returning to complete a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2023. She has spent the last year working in Truro and is now happy to be working in the Halifax area where she volunteers in her community. She is an active member of the Halifax County Dental Society, the Halifax Endo Study Club and Implant Study Clubs. She works diligently to stay current with Universal Health Care, Dental policies and procedures including the Canadian Dental Care Plan and MSI. Dr. Brown is heavily involved in outreach work and public engagements to help strengthen the needs of the community.
Besides volunteering and caring for the less fortunate, she enjoys traveling, rollerblading, art and spending time with family and friends
She is accepting new and previous patients and supports the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Dr. Matthew Nichols
Dentist
Dr. Matthew Nichols began his career in May 1994, after graduating from Dalhousie’s School of Dentistry. He worked as an associate at a Halifax practice for three years, and then purchased Rockingham Ridge Dental Centre in the community where he grew up. Since then, he has dedicated himself to providing patients with quality care and a comprehensive array of dental procedures using the most advanced technology available.
In addition to his ongoing studies, Dr. Nichols is a long-standing member of several industry organizations and associations. They include the American Academy of Oral Medicine, the Academy of General Dentistry, The Canadian Dental Association and the Nova Scotia Dental Association. He is also associated with the Atlantic Implant Study Club and is a Certified Invisalign Provider.
